Sea Of Stars Announces Xbox Release Date For This August

A new announcement from Sabotage Studio came on Wednesday revealing that its upcoming RPG Sea of Stars will also release for Xbox and Xbox One alongside the previously announced platforms in August. The studio previously announced that the August 29 release would include just PlayStation4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.

Along with the news of the game coming to Xbox platforms, Sabotage Studio also released a new trailer for the newest versions announced this week. The Xbox trailer highlights the retro-style, 2D illustrations that the Sea of Stars is known for and teases Xbox owners to just under two minutes of gameplay. Actually, the Xbox trailer is almost identical to the Nintendo Switch gameplay trailer released earlier this year.

With the trailers being so similar, players can rest assured that the platform on which they play Sea of Stars won’t make a difference. Whether on PC, Switch, PlayStation, or Xbox, the game will follow Valere and Zale, two children training to become Solstice Warriors, harnessing the powers of the Sun and the Moon. The narrative allows for unhindered exploration, but at the same time ensures missions are difficult enough to keep players engrossed. In fact, the exploration aspect of the game might prove to be as riveting as the dynamic combat players engage in against monstrous creations.

During the exploration between battles, characters can climb, dive, jump, swim, and even go fishing. The landscape holds hidden secrets that promise to be as thrilling as the fights. Additionally, players will be able to choose from six different characters that each have their own personality, backstory, and motives that will be discovered as the mysteries of the narrative unfold. If Sea of Stars still doesn’t seem worth your while, the battles are dynamic. With each defeat, players will be thrust into a new battle ensuring the gameplay stays fresh, which means no countless hours of replaying the same battle.

Sea of Stars can be played as a stand-alone game or as an extension of Sabotage Studio’s The Messenger which was released for PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStaion4 in 2018.
