Riot Games To Launch New League Of Legends Eternals Series Later Today

Riot Games has confirmed they will be releasing a new wave of Eternals for League of Legends later today, with the new series launching on November 17th at 1:00 PM PT.

In August 2019, Riot Games announced an innovative way for League of Legends players to track their achievements: Eternals. The system includes statistics for general gameplay, such as takedowns and kills, as well as unique accomplishments with individual champions. For example, an Eternal called ‘Stop Hitting Yourself’ shows players how many times they eliminated enemy champions with their own ultimate as Sylas: The Unshackled. Players also have the ability to select which Eternals to display in-game and on the loading screen prior to matches.

Unveiled by Riot Games in a game updates post, Eternals series 2 will feature three unique Eternals for every champion. As with the previously released series, the new Eternals will be available for purchase on the Eternals tab in the Riot Store. By spending 600 RP, players can unlock their favorite champion’s series 2 Eternals. Alternatively, players can opt for the series 2 pass, priced at 6,400 RP, which will make the series 2 Eternals for all champions available. The pass purchase will also automatically unlock the series 2 Eternals of champions released in the future.

The series 2 Eternals includes several new features, including additions to emotes and adjustments to milestones. Once a player meets 15 series 2 milestones for an individual champion, the champion mastery emotes may “gain a third chevron.” Riot Games has updated the requirements for the milestones across all Eternals, including starter series and series 1, accelerating the process of attaining the fifth milestone and the personal best scores.

Upcoming sales may entice players to purchase the new Eternals. On the Series 2 launch day, both the Series 1 Pass and Starter Series Pass will be 60% off until December 1st. Riot Games will also hold a post-launch sale from February 16th to March 2nd, during which the Eternals series 2 pass will be at a 30% discount.
