Resident Evil 4 Remake is far from easy, but players have a leg up on their enemies thanks to the arsenal of powerful weapons available to Leon. From pistols to rifles, there are plenty of options when deciding which side piece is right.
Rifles, especially automatic/semi-automatic ones, are excellent firearms and can clear through a crowd of mutants and monsters with ease. The Stingray is a weapon that players can take well into the late game and gives the reliability that is desperately needed in this cold and dangerous world.
Stingray Location
The Stingray is one of the best weapons in Resident Evil, so players should grab it as soon as possible. It can be purchased for 30,000 Pesetas in the Merchant’s Shop. It will become available at the start of Chapter 7 and, when it appears, it will not have any Special Offers associated with it. It takes up quite a bit of Case storage, 14 slots in total, but its usefulness makes it worth getting. This weapon can be used as the primary rifle in a player’s arsenal and should be switched out for lower-tier weapons when possible.
Stingray Stats
The Stingray boasts great specs and perks, making it hard to resist for its price. The gun comes with triple power against weak points, which means even large enemies can be taken out with a few well-placed bullets. The Stingray has Penetration Power as well, making its shots more likely to go through an enemy’s armor. This will become a more prevalent issue as players work through the game and for players on a higher difficulty.
The Stingray also works well with multiple different scopes, giving it quite a bit of versatility to be used at short, medium, or long-range. The Stingray does a bit less damage than the base SR M1903 Rifle that players will get earlier in the game, but it makes up for it in every other stat. The Perks for this weapon also set it far above other choices in its category.
