Completing the Tier 3 Missions for both White Lotus and Legion will open up the next set of missions for both factions, along with unlocking the Black Mous faction. While the first set of missions for Black Mous is fairly straightforward to complete, it is the second tier where things start to get interesting. This is the case with Political Take Down, a mission that will have you visiting the crash site introduced in Season 2 for Warzone 2 DMZ.
Political Take Down is the Black Mous Tier 2 Story Mission, and like many other missions in DMZ, consists of three main objectives. To complete Political Take Down, you will need to download data from the crashed plane’s black box, exfil with that data, and then loot and extract the Politician’s Letter from the same crash site. Doing so will yield the reward of 15,000 XP, the No Scope calling card, along with unlocking the third tier of missions for the Black Mous faction.
The first objective of the Political Take Down Mission tasks you with downloading the data from the crashed plane’s black box. The plane in question is located deep within the Sattiq Caves Complex – adjacent to the bunker you visited for The Route Forward. This location is heavily guarded by Tier-3 Shadow Company soldiers, so rocking up guns blazing may not be the best approach. Instead, we recommend slowly taking out enemies around the plane from the cliffs that surround the area, before proceeding to the crash site.
The black box can be found in the cockpit of the crashed plane. Once you are here, simply interact with the black box to download the data – thus fulfilling the first portion of this mission. All that is left now is to extract within the same deployment you downloaded the data in to complete the second stage of Political Take Down.
The final stage of this Faction Mission Tasks you with finding and extracting the Politician’s Letter. This letter is located within the general vicinity of the crash site, so it can be done within the same deployment as the first two steps. The Politician’s Letter is located toward the tail of the crashed cargo plane, sitting on the hatch door. Simply loot this letter and successfully extract out of the A.O. to complete the Political Take Down Faction Mission.
The Politician’s Letter can only be looted by one player at a time. If you cannot find the letter at the location detailed above, then you may need to try again in another game of DMZ.
