Walter Presents: ‘Top Dog’ Season 2 coming in March

Walter Presents is bringing season 2 of Swedish series ‘Top Dog’ to Channel 4 and C4 Streaming in March.

The series stars Josefin Asplund, Alexej Manvelov and Gustav Lindh, and it is created by Jens Lapidus.

Gangster Teddy is trying to live a normal life with lawyer Emily, but the allure of the criminal underworld beckons. Last season, the pair were trapped in a cycle of helping and hurting each other, and this instalment is no exception. Local billionaire Paul Ahlborg is developing an electronics recycling plant in Södertälje, but the project may have links to organised crime. He asks Emily to handle the legal negotiations and tie any loose ends which could propel her back to the top of her game.

However, to do this Emily will have to betray Teddy’s trust. Meanwhile, Teddy’s nephew Nicola has managed to steer clear of crime, but he can’t resist helping his best friend Chamon when he finds himself in trouble with a local gang. Things take an ugly turn when Nicola witnesses Chamon’s murder, resulting in his arrest. Nicola asks Emily to be his legal counsel and she successfully negotiates his release. But in a shocking turn of events, Nicola goes missing without a trace. A desperate search for Teddy’s beloved nephew follows.

Once again, Emily must choose between her career and her love for Teddy. In the end, her decision holds tragic consequences.                          

Walter Presents: ‘Top Dog’ season 2 will launch on Sunday 17th March 2024 at midnight on Channel 4. The full boxset will be available from Friday 15th March.
