Ahead of next week’s ceremony, The Game Awards is offering special rewards for official co-stream partners. The annual show presents awards to exceptional games and industry professionals, showcases upcoming titles, and features musical performances.

Media entrepreneur and host Geoff Keighley established The Game Awards in 2014 to recognize innovation, creativity, and technical excellence in the video game industry. The Game Awards 2022 will take place on December 8 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony will air on a multitude of platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter, at 4:30 pm PT. Gamers tuning in from around the world can also access the broadcast on alternative platforms, such as Douyin in China and Loco in India.

While anyone can stream the show, The Game Awards will grant exclusive rewards to official co-streamers. Those interested in serving as an official co-streamer for The Game Awards can fill out a short Google Form, available until November 30. The form requires the entry of a channel URL and selection of a streaming platform — YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, or other. The streamer’s country and language can also be provided in the form. The Game Awards will notify applicants regarding their qualification status.

Co-streamers who qualify will receive a toolkit of assets and images from The Game Awards. Twitch co-streamers will be eligible for special rewards for their channel’s viewers. The specific rewards are yet to be announced.

Currently, gamers can vote for their favorite games across 31 categories. Previous Game of the Year winners include It Takes Two and The Last of Us Part II. The Game Awards also serve as a platform for major announcements about upcoming and highly anticipated titles. This year, it is expected that Star Wards Jedi: Survivor will receive a release date and trailer at The Game Awards.

According to an official press release, The Game Awards 2021 reached approximately 85 million livestreams worldwide, breaking the 2020 viewership record of 83 million. The 2021 show also trended #1 globally on Twitter and delivered 1.6 million tweets. Officially partnering with streamers only broadens the ceremony’s massive audience, and it would be no surprise if The Game Awards 2022 breaks last year’s records.
