University Challenge star Jeremy announced his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2021, explaining he was receiving “excellent treatment” and considered himself relatively lucky as his symptoms, at that stage, were “mild”. The 72-year-old has recently discussed with Sharon how her former Black Sabbath star husband manages his symptoms, with the TV personality offering to bring him cannabis to try. She detailed how her heart is “broken” for her husband over his health struggle.

Jeremy has shared parts of his journey with the nervous system disorder, recently talking about some of the “horrid” effects of the illness.

Sharon has also spoken candidly about Ozzy’s battle with the disease.

The 73-year-old recently talked to Jeremy about how her husband uses cannabidiol (CBD), to stop the “unsettling dreams” he faces, which Jeremy also experiences.

She soon offered to help the broadcaster by providing him with of the alternative medication.

“I just think of my husband who, like you, was very energetic, loved to go out for walks and did a two-hour show on stage every night, running around like a crazy man.

“Suddenly your life just stops, life as you knew it. When I look at my husband, my heart breaks for him.”

Jeremy is detailing his journey in an ITV documentary on Tuesday evening. 

The 60-minute film will see Jeremy meeting Parkinson’s UK president Jane Asher, go to an English National Ballet therapy dance class and play bowls – as well as observing a brain dissection.
