Season 2 of Overwatch 2 is coming to an end, and it’s been an eventful season full of ups and downs. The team is still learning how to handle the new free-to-play model of Overwatch 2, including the controversial Battle Pass which gates newer characters behind a large amount of EXP. A recent blog post from the Overwatch 2 team reveals new changes coming to the game in Season 3, including the ability to re-earn Overwatch Credits in exchange for skins.

First off, the Overwatch 2 team discussed Ramattra and his state in the meta. At the beginning of the season, Blizzard stated Ramattra was in a good place in regards to “fun,” but revealed he felt quite weak based on early testing. As a result, Ramattra was buffed, making him a strong and viable pick. Ramattra’s Ultimate ability, Annihilation, remains a bit too strong, so Blizzard plans on nerfing the ultimate to ensure it doesn’t go crazy.

Grab skins in Season 3 of Overwatch 2 with Credits

Season 3 of Overwatch 2 will bring back Overwatch Credits, replacing the new currency Legacy Credits. Players can earn up to 1,500 credits as free rewards and 500 credits as premium rewards throughout the Season 3 Battle Pass, which will allow you to earn more skins for free. There’ll also be new rewards you can unlock by using Overwatch Credits. This should better help players enjoy new skins as they release throughout the game’s lifespan. In theory, players will be able to unlock at least one Legendary Skin per season.

Newer changes to Season 3 of Overwatch 2 include changes to the game’s matchmaking, specifically improving games that feel like there is too much skill variation and inconsistency. Events will also be worked on following fan feedback, which showed disappointment with Battle For Olympus, Winter Wonderland, and Lunar New Year events.
