Publisher Binary Haze Interactive and developer Adglobe has announced via a brand new gameplay trailer that Redemption Reapers will launch digitally for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam for $49.99 on February 22. The physical edition of the strategy RPG is also due out in late April.
Redemption Reaper is a dark fantasy RPG backed by a formidable roster of industry veterans, such as Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Masayuki Horikawa, Tokokazu Fukushima, and Rei Kondoh. Hiroyuki Kobayashi is best known for producing ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights, while Masayuki Horikawa is renowned as the planner of the Fire Emblem series. Tomokazu Fukushima previously worked on Metal Gear Solid and Freedom Wars, and Rei Kondoh made a name for himself by creating music for the Bayonetta and Fire Emblem series.
The English voice cast of the game includes Jason Spisak (Arcane), Alejandro Reynoso (Castlevania), Kyle McCarley (NieR: Automata), and Allegra Clark (Apex Legends and Dragon Age Inquisition). Redemption Reapers is a fantasy simulation game that tells the story of the desperate struggle between the Ashen Hawk Brigade and the Mort legions.
Players will bring together a rich variety of character builds and strategies to defeat the enemy masses that march ever closer with despair looming. The macabre Mort legions conquer nations all over the world, leaving humankind decimated as a result of their terror. However, a localized contingent gathered to stand against Mort armies, the Ashen Hawk Brigade.
Players will get into fierce battles to show their tactical expertise with a team of five heroes, each having unique skills that can be used for different purposes. They must manage limited resources, decide how to best form their teams, and use weapons and recovery items wisely in impending battles. Redemption Reapers has players coordinating attacks between heroes who share the same range and making use of full each member’s active skills to come out victorious. It also features a number of maps depicting a doomed world ravaged by Mort legions.
