Episode 16 of Blue Lock will be released on Saturday, January 28th at 11:00 AM PST. Local networks like TV Asahi will air the new episode for fans in Japan, while international fans can enjoy it on Crunchyroll. Netflix is also airing the series, but only within select regions of Asia, which includes India, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand. The previous episode of Blue Lock focused entirely on Naruhaya and Isagi, with the two battling it out to see who would adapt their skills and win the match. Isagi figures out Naruhaya’s weapon and fully adapts to it to score the final goal for the team, bringing victory for himself and Nagi. Now, the upcoming episode is expected to focus on Kunigami, Chigiri, and Reo.


Blue Lock Episode 15 Recap

Naruhaya shoots the ball but fails to score a goal, then Barou counters Isagi and Nagi and scores the third goal for the team. Isagi analyzes Naruhaya and his own skills and concludes that the one to overcome his limitation first wins. Isagi is determined to figure out what holds him back, but he finds himself passing the ball to Nagi again, who scores a goal, taking the score to 3-3.

While Isagi is brainstorming, Barou shoots the ball, but Nagi saves it. Naruhaya counters Isagi and passes the ball to Barou, who scores the fourth goal for the team. At this point, Isagi is able to realize Naruhaya’s weapon, which is using a player’s blind spot. He then remembers Rin Itoshi’s words, telling him to learn how the human eye works. Isagi passes the ball to Nagi, and he scores a goal. The next team to score the goal would win the match.

Nagi tries to have a conversation with Isagi, but the latter is engaged in deep thinking and tells him to shut up, stating that he is thinking about the good part. We then see a flashback of Naruhaya’s family and how he lost his parents. He lived with his siblings and decided to dedicate his life to football to change the living conditions of his family. Cut back to the present and the ball is with Barou, who tries to shoot a goal from mid-field but misses. Isagi and Naruhaya chase the ball, and the latter shoots, but the ball hits the pole.

Isagi understands that he must amalgamate his skill with Naruhaya’s to win the match. Nagi passes the ball to Isagi, and the latter successfully adapts to the new weapon to score the final goal for Team White. Naruhaya is astounded to see that Isagi just took a split second to learn his skill. Naruhaya looks shattered; however, he praises Isagi and claims that he is not an average joe. They choose Barou, and Isagi promises Naruhaya that he will keep winning. The episode ends with Kunigami and Chigiri confronting Reo and asking him to join their team.
