Prince Harry and William should ‘just get on with’ reconciling | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

King Charles III will officially be crowned on May 6, 2023, and will see Prince Harry attend the historical day, despite growing tensions within the family. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took weeks to respond to their invitation, with it finally being confirmed Harry would attend alone. Royal correspondent Robert Jobson expressed his opinion on the rift between Harry and William and claimed they needed to “get on with it” for the sake of their father.

Presenter Camilla Tominey began on her GB News show: “There is a degree of magnanimity here, he’s going to be put in the cheap seats,” however Robert interjected and said: “Well we don’t know that. I suspect he won’t be in the cheap seats.”

Camilla continued: “But he is not going to take part in any procession, he’s not going to be on the balcony, he’s not going to any other events.”

Defending Harry, Robert explained: “Yeah because he is not a working royal, but I think he might be…”

Keen to get her point across, Camilla interrupted and asked: “But does it make William look churlish if he kind of stands in the way of clarification, I’m getting the impression from your book that the King would rather be reconciled with Harry, that is the point here.”

Robert said: “Well that’s between Harry and the King, they are old enough to sort that out amongst themselves.

“It is clear that William is not very happy about it but William at the end of the day has sworn to be a Leishman to the King and if the King wants it then he should get on with it.

“Get on with it, make the King’s life as easy as possible. It is going to be a short reign, only because the King will be 75 in November.

“But, I hope it’s at least another 20 years and it could well be but the fact is William will get his time, he will get his moment in the sun, at this time as the heir act like the heir, and if your father wants you to try to build bridges then build bridges.”

Also during their conversation, Robert shared his thoughts on Prince Harry coming to the UK for King Charles’ Coronation without Meghan.

He expressed: “He [King Charles] refers to his son Prince Harry as ‘my darling boy’ always and Harry acknowledges that in his book Spare.

“Look, I think yes, he will try to have conversations with Harry, I am sure he will and the fact that Meghan is not there will probably be more advantageous.

“Not because he doesn’t like Meghan but because they can speak more freely. As for William, I don’t think there will be any reproaching.”

On Wednesday, April 12 it was revealed Harry would be in attendance for King Charles and the Queen Consort’s big day.

A statement released said: “Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May.”

The statement added Meghan Markle will not attend the ceremony and will remain in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The Mail on Sunday reported Netflix sources believe Harry is attending because of pressure to keep up appearances with the Royal Family.

The Camilla Tominey Show airs Sunday from 9:30am on GB News.
