Pokemon Go has dropped a short trailer for the Season of Mythical Wishes, showcasing the hotly-anticipated Pokemon trainers Ruby and Sapphire. GO Battle League: Mythical Wishes will start on Tuesday, December 1.
Players have been keeping an eye out for the ninth season of Pokemon Go for quite some time, and developer Niantic has announced that the Season of Mythical Wishes will start on Thursday, December 1, at 1:00 p.m. PST.
Pokemon Go Battle League: Mythical Wishes will run until March 1, 2023, introducing a catalog of new content including new mega raids, events, and five-star raids. Players can complete these challenges to earn plentiful rewards, such as rare candy, XP, and elite charge TMs. Additionally, players will be able to obtain ember by evolving Vulpix in the timed research event.
Niantic has detailed all the new content coming to Pokemon Go with the upcoming season in a blog post, revealing when players can participate in the raids and events. In addition to mega raids and five-star raids that will be available throughout December, players can take part in a timed research event to earn rings inspired by Steven Stone. Perhaps most excitingly, they can enjoy a GO: Battle day featuring Vulpix on February 12, 2023. It has been revealed that Vulpix will be guaranteed to appear as a reward encounter during the event.
The blog post also notes that players will encounter new Pokemon once per season at the designated ranks. Metang, Mareaine, Axew, Noibat, Gomy, and Pikachu Libre are among the guaranteed rank-up encounters in the Season of Mythical Wishes. Moreover, a timed research pass will be available in the in-game shop at no cost, keeping track of players’ victories throughout the season. According to Niantic, each research page will require 100 wins to complete, and doing so will reward players with Stardust and other items.
Lastly, players can earn avatar items, such as rings, shoes, pants, and poses, according to their ranks. Players who reach rank 19 will receive an Elite Charged TM and Elite Fast TM as the end-of-Season reward. Pokemon Go Mythical Wishes Season will start on Thursday, December 1.
