Only Murders In The Building Season 3 Begins Filming, Meryl Streep Joins The Cast

Hulu’s hit TV series Only Murders in the Building is coming back for a third season. Filming has begun, and the cast continues to take shape, with Oscar-winner Meryl Streep coming aboard.

The start of filming, and Streep’s involvement, was announced by the game’s cast on social media. Steve Martin shared a photo of the stars together, saying it’s a “cast to dream of.” Indeed. In addition to Martin and Streep, the new season will feature returning stars Selena Gomez and Martin Short, as well as Paul Rudd. Check out Martin’s photo and Gomez’s TikTok below.

Rudd is expected to be a major star for Season 3, given the strong hint at the end of Season 2, but whether or not Streep is a series regular, a recurring star, or a guest star remains to be seen. Previous seasons of Only Murders in the Building featured Sting and Amy Schumer in guest-starring roles.

The show follows three neighbors–played by Martin, Short, and Gomez–who live in an upscale New York apartment called the Arconia. They are true-crime podcast fans, but everything changes when actual murders start happening in the building where they live.

Season 3 will dig into the mysterious murder of Rudd’s character, Ben Glenroy.

As for Streep, she is a huge star, known for her Oscar-winning performances in movies like Kramer vs. Kramer, Sophie’s Choice, and The Iron Lady. Hulu has not yet announced a release date for Only Murders in the Building Season 3.
