Love Island fans were left fuming on Thursday night after another couple was brutally dumped from the villa.

As they stood around the fire pit, Leah Taylor and Montel McKenzie, Sammy Root and Jess Harding, and Kady McDermott and Ouzy See, waited for their fate.

However, as the dreaded text was read out, it revealed Leah and Montel were being sent home.

Fans took to Twitter in droves to share their anger over the result, with @tallelement tweeting: “Leah and Montel dumped from the island. I actually wanted Sammy and Jess coz I’m tired of that couple. Jess needs to have shame.”

@liamc9538 fumed: “Montel and Leah dumped from Love Island tonight, who is voting for this??”

While @Danielleviney_ raged: “I’m punching a wall, WHY has darling little Leah and Montel been DUMPED?! The producers really woke up and chose violence this year.” (sic)

@4hueki added: “The public voting wasn’t based upon who was the most compatible couple it was for who getting dumped off the island.” (sic)

@jasmine88256273 shared: “Why is the public obsessed with Scott? What are they seeing that ain’t?! And why send Montel and Leah home? Scott and Amber should have gone!”

However, not everyone was unhappy with the result, as @roseprecious16 commented: “Ngl I’m happy with the couples who got dumped. Now we can focus on the next couple to dump which will be Zach and Molly.” (sic)

For Leah and Montel their ride wasn’t easy during their time in the villa, and they had only just managed to get their relationship back on track after Casa Amor.

Montel came in as a bombshell and immediately hit it off with Leah until they were split apart and sent to a new villa.

During Leah’s time at Casa Amor, she tried to get to know the six new boys that came in but told Jess that her heart was back with Montel.

However, little did she know Montel was exploring his connection with Tink Reading, and even took her to the terrace for a kiss.

When speaking about his exit from the villa, Montel shared: “It’s bittersweet.

“It’s a bit disappointing with the way that we left but I am happy because I am leaving with Leah and a strong connection. It’s hard to be sad when I am leaving with her.”

While Leah went on to add about how she felt: “Mixed emotions but I’ve had such an incredible experience.

“I went in there to find a connection and I’m leaving with one, which is such a positive. I wish we had a bit more time together in the Villa but overall it’s been such an amazing experience.”

Loe Island returns on Friday at 9pm on ITVBe.
