David Walliams appeared on the latest instalment of Lorraine to talk to the Scottish broadcaster about his new children’s book Spaceboy. However, their interview descended into chaos when the Britain’s Got Talent judge got on his knees to crawl off the ITV set.

David’s latest book is about a space-obsessed child who goes on a big adventure after finding a crashed UFO.

The former Little Britain star has been releasing children’s books for years, with his most notable one to date being Gangsta Granny.

The 51-year-old also spoke to Lorraine about working alongside Simon Cowell for Britain’s Got Talent which is returning later this year.

David said he enjoys making Simon’s “life a misery” as he poked fun at the straight-talking record executive.

The comedian continued to crawl across the floor as Lorraine looked on in shock.

“I don’t want to get in the way,” he quipped. “I know you have someone else coming on, don’t worry.”

Lorraine watched on as he shuffled towards the cameras and warned him not to hurt himself.

“Watch you don’t bang into [the cameras], health and safety,” Lorraine called out across the room.

As David finally snuck off set, Lorraine remained professional and shared with viewers what was in store for the rest of the instalment.

Elsewhere in the interview, David revealed he and Sheridan Smith have a pact to get married if they run out of other options.

The pair have teamed up to film Gangsta Granny Strikes Again, where they play husband and wife.

David laughed: “We have a lot of fun together actually. We talk about getting married when we are older when we have exhausted all other opportunities.”
