Jane Moore sparked outrage among Loose Women viewers on Wednesday after she made a comment regarding the size of Boris and Carrie Johnson’s baby.

The ITV star’s comment comes after Boris’ wife Carrie took to her Instagram to announce the birth of their son Frank Alfred Odysseus Johnson.

When viewing the picture on the show to discuss the baby’s name, Jane made a comment about his size.

She expressed: “First of all can we have a look at that picture again of Carrie? That is a 12-year-old child… look at the size of that baby! It makes my eyes water just thinking about it.”

The other Loose Women just laughed along at the comment made by Jane before she went on to explain the reasoning for choosing her children’s names.

However, some viewers of the show were left fuming by Jane’s comments and took to their Twitter accounts to express their views.

@TellyVsPodcasts expressed: “Jane body shaming an actual baby #LooseWomen.”

@woowoo1981 fumed: “Disgusting how they’re talking about a newborn baby! #loosewomen @loosewomen.”

@woowoo1981 said to ITV: “I seriously hope you’re going to force an apology.”

Charlotte Davies commented:” There is nothing more deflating as a mother than people saying your newborn bundle of joy is big! That’s the truth.”

“#loosewomen calling #BorisJohnson newborn a 12-year-old child because of his size is just awful. These are mothers too #motherhood.”

Dyan Norcrox added: “The way these women are speaking about a newborn baby has shocked me… is there any need?” (sic)

Express.co.uk has reached out to ITV for comment.

Carrie has been inundated with messages after sharing an adorable snap of their newborn son on Instagram.

She wrote: “A week of Frankie. Welcome to the world Frank Alfred Odysseus Johnson born 5th July at 9.15am.

“Can you guess which name my husband chose?! Am loving every minute of the sleepy baby bubble.

“Seeing my older two embrace their new brother with such joy and excitement has been the most wonderful thing to see. We are all very smitten.

“Thank you so much to the incredible NHS maternity team at UCLH. They really are the most amazing, caring people. I feel such immense gratitude.

“Now, can anyone recommend any good series/box sets to binge while breastfeeding?” (sic)

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12:30pm on ITV.
