For the first Spotlight Hour of May 2022, we have Wingull as the featured Pokemon in the game. Like every week, the event will start off at the regular 6 pm local time. Do note that you have only one hour to make the most of the event so you need to be pretty quick. When the event begins, the spawn rate of Wingull will increase dramatically in the wild. This is a really great opportunity for players to catch a Pokemon if they don’t have it since you will be seeing it quite often while playing the game. When it comes to the bonus for today’s event, players will be getting twice the amount of candies they get on a regular day. So if you are looking to evolve your Pokemon, you can utilize this Spotlight hour to catch as many of the ones you intend to evolve.

Is There A Shiny Wingull in Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour May 2022?

Wingull, as one might have guessed through the name, resembles a seagull. It is water and flying type Pokemon added in Generation 3, hailing from the Hoenn region. Wingull evolves into Pelipper which has a similar appearance but with a much larger beak.

If you are wondering if there is a shiny Wingull in Pokemon Go or not, then you would be elated to know that a Shiny Wingull does indeed exist in Pokemon Go. Spotting a shiny Wingull can be slightly tricky, as the Pokemon resembles pretty much a regular one, but you see a green and white color scheme instead of blue and white. Shiny rates aren’t boosted, so you need to keep that in mind as well.
