How to unlock Sheena in Vampire Survivors Operation Guns

Konami seems to have let Vampire Survivors pick characters from any and every Contra game they released. With so many games to choose from, it’s no surprise that the main characters of certain Contra games would make their way to VS. With that in mind let’s ready our bow and figure out how to unlock Sheena in Vampire Survivors Operation Guns.

Sheena is one of 11 characters you can unlock in the Vampire Survivors Operation Guns DLC (with a secret 12th character). She has some of the best recovery stats for any of the Contra characters, and her base move speed is decent as well. If you haven’t already, you should probably make sure you unlock Browny before attempting to unlock Sheena.

This is because you must evolve the Sonic Bloom weapon to unlock Sheena. The process of evolving the Contra weapons is slightly different when compared to the base game and other DLCs. Not to worry, as we’ll be showing you the exact steps you’ll need to take in order to evolve the Sonic Bloom and unlock Sheena.

We told you to unlock Browny before attempting to get Sheena, and that wasn’t just because his character box comes before hers. Browny’s starting weapon is the Sonic Bloom, which makes this task so much easier when you don’t have to go searching for the weapon. And there’s a whole heap of new weapons and evolutions added to this expansion of Vampire Survivors.

But once you’ve started the game and chosen Browny on the new map Neo Galuga, you must find and pick up a Weapon Power-Up. These are easily recognizable new items that look like a metal briefcase and can be found around Neo Galuga.

After grabbing one of these, you must also get the passive item Armor. As nice as it would be for the game to immediately give you the evolution, we’re not done yet. Once you have all three items, you need to get Sonic Bloom and Armor to max level eight. The Weapon Power-Up has no upgrades and is only needed to facilitate the evolution.

Having maxed out your weapon and passive item, all that’s left to do is find a chest and hope the evolved weapon Wave Beam pops out. You can quit the run you’re in once you’ve obtained the evolved weapon or finish it out.

But once you return to the main menu and head to the character select, you’ll be able to purchase Sheena and take her into battle. And with her recovery stat being rivaled only by Lucia, you’ll be zig-zagging in between hordes of enemies forever.
