Week 4 is here and, as usual, there are a bunch of weekly quests for players to complete and earn XP. Here’s how you can cut down Timber Pines using a Ripsaw Launcher in Fortnite.
How to Knock Down Timber Pines with a Ripsaw Launcher in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3
Before you go about knocking down timber pines around the island, you will first need to get yourself a Ripsaw Launcher. This new weapon was added with the Battle Royale v21.10 June 28 hotfix and is capable of doing some serious damage.
You can get the Ripsaw Launcher at the Chop Shop located in the northern section of the Fortnite island. It’s a big, red workshop building northeast of Logjam Lotus. Since the entire challenge revolves around this weapon, we will recommend landing directly near this location.
Simply grab the Ripsaw Launcher and start looking for pine trees to knock down. You are looking for tall, pine trees with thick trunks and light-green needles. These are the Fortnite Timber Pines that you need to knock down and are usually located all over the snowy, north-western section of the map.
These should not be mistaken for the smaller, snow-covered pine trees that are also abundant in this area. Luckily, you can find Fortnite Timber Pine trees around the Chop Shop, so you don’t have to venture too far.
Once you find the right tree, to knock down Timber Pines all you need to do is stand in front of a Timber Pine, charge up your Ripsaw Launcher, and fire a sawblade into the tree. The sawblade will drill into the tree and constantly deal damage until the tree gets destroyed.
Repeat this four more times and the week 4 challenge will be completed. You will also be rewarded with 15,000 XP for your troubles.
