Slap-bang in the middle of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands‘ hub town, Brighthoof, is a rather special-looking chest. If you approach it, however, it will tell you that you’ll need a Skeleton Key to open it. But how do you get a Skeleton Key for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands? Well, you’ll need a SHiFT Code. And those aren’t found in the game; they’re found in the real world.
A SHiFT Code is something that developer Gearbox gives out for its games. It’s a 25-digit code that can be redeemed in a game for various goodies. In the case of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, a SHiFT Code typically grants Skeleton Keys.

To get your hands on a SHiFT Code, the best place to check is Randy Pitchford’s Twitter account – he’s the head honcho at Gearbox. He frequently tweets codes which can be used in the game. Here’s one he tweeted last week, which can be redeemed until 31st March:

There’s also a third party Twitter account called @dgSHiFTCodes which regularly shares SHiFT codes found from across the web. It’s worth noting these codes aren’t one-use; an unlimited amount of people can redeem them, but you can only redeem it yourself once.
How to redeem a SHiFT Code in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
Once you’ve found a valid SHiFT Code, you’ll need to load up Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands to redeem it. From the main menu, go to ‘Social’. From there, tab across to the ‘SHiFT’ menu. There, you’ll see a box to enter the 25-digit code. You don’t need to type in the dashes, but you do need to enter all 25 characters.
Once you’ve entered the code, you’ll get a notification of what you’ve just redeemed. You’ll then need to head to the ‘Mail’ tab (also in the ‘Social’ menu, where you’ll find your new Skeleton Key waiting to be redeemed.
And that’s it – simply head to the chest and open it . The Skeleton Key chest in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has a higher chance of dropping rare loot, so chances are you’ll get something good. Good luck!
