There’s a lot in Hades 2 you won’t uncover at the start. Obol Points are one of them, and you need to do quite a bit to unlock them. Which is why I assume you’re reading this. To know how to get Obol Points in Hades 2, you may have come to the right place.

Hades 2: How to get Obol Points

I know I stated you’ll have to do a lot in Hades 2 to get them, however, it’s not hard. To get Obol Points have to spend 1,000 Gold at Charon’s Shop. If you don’t know who this guy is, you meet him at those mini-checkpoints during your runs. He’ll usually have three items waiting to be bought. So, once you spend 1,000 Gold at his store, talk to him before you move on. He’ll drop a card and that will not only give you Obol Points but you’ll also unlock the Obol System. This system is important, but I’ll get into more in a bit.

Once you’ve done this, every time afterward you spend 1,000 Gold, you’ll earn more Obol Points.

What is the Obol System?

As promised, let me break down what this system is. After it’s unlocked, head to the Wretched Broker in the Crossroads. Don’t talk to him but rather interact with the chest on the dock beside him. It’ll be overlooking the water. This is where Obol Points can be traded to get items like Psyche. Additionally, getting Obol Points and trading them via the chest is another great way to Fate Fabric.

Note, each item you earn from the chest won’t immediately be given to you. They have delivery time. The time reflects how many rooms you’ve completed. If you’re still lost, you can see the delivery time between each item below.

  • Ashes: 20 Delivery Time. You’ll need 1 Obol Point
  • Psyche: 40 Delivery Time. You’ll need 2 Obol Points
  • Fate Fabric: 60 Delivery Time. You’ll need 3 Obol Points

If you’re planning on getting Ashes, for example, you need to clear 20 rooms during your playtime. So you don’t have to do it during one run.

Combat can be a challenge in Hades 2. However, breaking the enemy’s armor can make things a lot easier.
