Since the launch of Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play in Season 02, it has apparently been a hit among fans who enjoy a competitive experience. Currently, a bug is stopping players from unlocking skins, however, even after meeting the requirements to earn them. Below, we have some suggestions on how to fix the Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play skins not unlocking bug.
As you’re climbing the ranks, you’ll earn some rewards along the way. Once you hit rank 5, you’ll be rewarded with two free ranked competitor operator skins. Some players are finding that the Ranked Play skin is still locked, even though they’ve reached the required rank. It’s worth noting that some players are claiming that they had their Ranked Play skin equipped, but after switching to a different operator, the Ranked Play skin appeared locked and it couldn’t be selected.
What you can try to fix Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play skins not unlocking
If your Ranked Play skin hasn’t unlocked when you reach the required rank, it may be worth waiting it out for a little while. It may take take some time for the skin to become available, so you can try checking back later. If you’re still unable to access the skin, you can verify your game files to make sure you don’t have any missing or corrupt files that could be preventing you from getting the outfit. Lastly, you can always restart your game and see if the operator has become available for you to equip.
If none of these solutions help, all we can do is wait for the developers to put out a fix. According to the official Trello Board, Treyarch is investigating an issue that is stopping players from customizing Ranked Play home and away skins. Hopefully, Ranked Play skins not unlocking in Modern Warfare 2 will be a distant memory.
