How to complete House of the Blue Sunbright in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Upon completing The Gift of Giving storyline in the Slums, a maid will approach you and ask for a favor. The task at hand triggers the House of the Blue Sunbright. Here’s how to complete the House of the Blue Sunbright quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Where to find Sebastian’s look-alike in Dragon’s Dogma 2

The noble family member Sebastian asks you to locate his look-alike, Daphne, who was part of The Gift of Giving. You can find Sebastian’s look-alike stationed in front of the Gracious Hand in the Slums, the same area involved with the Saint of the Slums Miasmite quest.

Speak to Daphne, and she will follow you to Sebastian to start her new life. However, Sebastian will ask for another favor by acquiring some supplies for his journey to Melve. He doesn’t precisely indicate what items this entails, with only a few hints on what they could be.

Which supplies should you give to Sebastian in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

According to the House of the Blue Sunbright’s description, these are the supplies you should give to Sebastian in Dragon’s Dogma 2:

  • Medicine for sleep – Waking Powder
  • Medicine for blight – Detoxifying Decoction
  • Something that reeks of Cyclops – Misshapen Eye

Most concoctions are easily obtainable at any nearby Sundries shop, but the Misshapen Eye mandates a Cyclops takedown. After giving all the resources, speed up time for a day or so and return to Townsend’s Manor to complete the quest. If you give Sebastian the wrong items, Diana and Daphne will inform you that he has not returned, necessitating a search for him.

For example, I didn’t give him the “medicine for blight” the first time around, and he was poisoned during his adventure. Fortunately, the game still offers a second chance by allowing you to grab it for him on his way to Melve rather than at the manor. This scenario can be entirely skippable if the ingredients mentioned above are provided.

Those who have given Sebastian the wrong ingredients can run to the Riftstone near Melve to save him from foes. He’ll be hiding in some bushes nearby. It should also be noted that this particular task can be time-restricted, as players weren’t able to find him after some time had passed. Thus, make sure to complete the task as soon as possible (roughly within a two-day timeframe).

If Sebastian gets killed during this interval, use a Wakestone to revive him. His body should be near the same bush by the Melve Rifstone. Then, return to Townsend’s Estate at Vernworth to complete the House of the Blue Sunbright quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2 (you may have to speed up time again).

House of the Blue Sunbright quest rewards

Here are the rewards for completing the House of the Blue Sunbright quest:

  • 2 Fine Harspud Roborants
  • 3,000 Gold
  • +900 XP

As long as Sebastian gets home safely, you’ll be provided with the rewards above, regardless of whether you gave him the right ingredients. I also suggest sticking inside the house for a short time or going up to the second floor of Townsend’s Estate for unique dialogue scenes. Go back to the Slums later on to find out what happens after the quest’s completion. It’s not a requirement to do these steps, but they do provide more information about the mission’s ending.
