Missile Tanks, alternatively known as Missile Expansions or Missile Pods, are Suit Expansions players can obtain throughout Tallon IV. Missile Expansions increase Samus Aran’s maximum Missile capacity by 5. Missile Expansions in Metroid Prime Remastered are rocket-shaped that are orange and black and emit a glow.

There are 50 Missile Expansions in Tallon IV. Players must utilize essential Suit Expansions and upgrades such as the Space Jump Boots, Morph Ball, Super Missile, Spider Ball, Plasma Beam, Grapple Beam, X-Ray Visor, Ice Beam, Boost Ball, Morph Ball Bomb, etc.

Tallon Overworld Missile Expansions

Missile Expansion #1: Transport Tunnel B

Underneath the bridge – the first Missile Expansion will be here.

Missile Expansion #2: Root Cave

Use the Grapple Point, swing forward, and drop to the platform on the other side. Jump to the platform to the right and kill the Bloodflower. Initiate the X-Ray Visor to uncover several platforms on the left side. The second Missile Expansion is on the left side, in a small aperture in the wall.

Missile Expansion #3: Arbor Chamber

Immediately after the previous Missile Expansion, enter through the red door on the above platform. Samus will enter a dimly lit room covered in foliage. The Missile Expansion is in the center on a small ledge.

Missile Expansion #4: Landing Site

Behind the Gunship, use Morph Ball into the hidden tunnel in the rocks. The Missile Expansion will be at the end.

Missile Expansion #5: Frigate Crash Site

Equip the Gravity Suit and submerge into the water. Look for a shallow hole in the wall – double-jump into the hole to acquire the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #6: Overgrown Cavern

Jump over the first set of roots and Morph Ball underneath the next. Use the Ice Beam to open the door. Roll underneath the roots – the Missile Expansion will be on the ground.

Missile Expansion #7: Biohazard Containment

Jump into the water and reach the bottom. Position Samus in front of one of the farthest right containers with an orange ring. Shoot the container with a Super Missile – the Missile Expansion is inside.

Missile Expansion #8: Life Grove Tunnel

Morph Ball through the Tunnel. Samus will enter an area with a fixed camera angle that acts like a sidescroller. Take a right, drop, and swing to the top. Use the Morph Ball Bomb to break the rock underneath. The Missile Expansion will be below.

Missile Expansion #9: Great Tree Chamber

Jump up two platforms to the right. Turn on the X-Ray Visor to expose a hidden platform – double-jump- then take a right, opening the door ahead. The Missile Expansion will be on the ground in the middle of the room.

Missile Expansion #10: Main Plaza

There’s a U-shaped, grey ramp that Samus can use to roll back and forth on. Roll horizontally on the ramp several times to fit underneath the bridge’s side with the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #11: Main Plaza

Have Samus stand on the same level at the bridge and face the large tree. Use a Super Missile and fire at the limb stump on the tree’s side-breaking the wood and uncovering the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #12: Ruined Shrine

There is a suspicious, grey patch of stone in the wall. Break the barrier using a Morph Ball Bomb to uncover a tunnel. Roll through it to acquire the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #13: Ruined Shrine

There is a grey U-shaped ramp, like the one in the Main Plaza. Morph Ball the ramp and get to the right side (facing the entrance door). Roll the pathway into a broken tunnel. The Missile Expansion is inside.

Missile Expansion #14: Ruined Nursery

Climb the rock platforms in the room and Morph Ball into the wall tunnel. Use a bomb to heighten Samus, break the box, heighten Samus, and break another box. The next box is unbreakable, so have Samus roll out of the tunnel. Morph Ball Bomb to heighten Samus to the lowest entrance of the maze, heighten her again, and break the box to the right. Now, Samus can traverse the mini-maze with ease. Players must break another box to acquire the Missile Expansion at the end.

There’s a janky appearance on the left part of the wall. Shoot the wall with a Missile to break it. The Missile Expansion is inside.

Missile Expansion #16: Ruined Nursery

Leave the hole from obtaining the last Missile Expansion and take a left. Heighten Samus with a Bomb Jump into the opening in the wall and roll through the tunnel to acquire the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #17: Hive Totem

Walk to the other end of the bridge to obtain the Missile Expansion. A short cutscene will play Samus obtaining the Missile Launcher.

Missile Expansion #18: Vault

This Missile Expansion is inside the Vault. There are three different bomb slots; they are circular and have light blue rims. Morph Ball Bomb on each, roll inside them all and initiate a second bomb while inside the slots. The third slot will require Samus to use the Bomb twice to get higher. After activating each slot, the Vault will open.

Missile Expansion #19: Ruined Fountain

Morph Ball on the fountain – when the water rises, use the Spider track on the ceiling with Spider Ball. The Missile Expansion will be in a tunnel at the end of the track.

Morph Ball into the red plants on the left. The Missile Expansion is inside.

Missile Expansion #21: Training Chamber Access

Morph Ball into the tunnel (inside the structure). Use the Half Pipes throughout the maze as elevators. At the end to the left, use the Grapple Beam to swing to the other side where this Missile Expansion is.

Missile Expansion #22: Gathering Hall

Start jumping on each of the rock platforms to the left, then right, and another right. Ahead there will be a reddish tunnel. Morph Ball into it. On the other side, jump on the platform above the door. Morph Ball Bomb the metal grate-like wall to obtain the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #23: Watery Hall Access

To the left of the room, there’s a small aperture. Walk in to obtain the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #24: Watery Hall

Submerge into the water and have Samus duck underneath the large vine and rocks. The Missile Expansion will be on the ground above the water.

Missile Expansion #25: Dynamo

Morph Ball Bomb on the right side’s small, circular wall patch. Morph Ball into the tunnel and open the door. Traverse the next tunnel and open the next door. Double Jump to the platform on the left and activate Spider Ball on the Spider Ball track. In the end, Samus will acquire the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #26: Dynamo

Shoot a missile at the fan-shaped, weakened metal barrier. After destroying it, jump inside to get the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #27: Burn Dome

Roll into Morph Ball and explode the sandstone at the end of the floor tunnel with a bomb. Roll to the end to find the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #28: Furnace

Explode a Power Bomb on the cracks in the floor -This will cause Half of the floor to break apart, uncovering a hidden ramp. Use the ramp and Spider Ball on the Spider Ball track above. Roll to the top and Bomb Jump to the next Spider Ball track. Drop to the black beam and roll to the next Spider Ball track to the left. Drop to the next Spider Ball Track, drop to the second black beam, and roll to the next Spider Ball Track – this track will have the Missile Expansion at the end.

Missile Expansion #29: Crossway

Use the ramp and roll to the ledge on the left. Shoot a Super Missile at the fan-like metal barrier to break it – scan the symbol to activate the Morph Ball Slot. Go back to the ramp below, but this time, roll as high as possible to the right side and latch onto the Spider Ball Tracks. Bomb Jump into the slot – activating another slot on the opposite side of the room. Using the ramp, repeat the previous step. A half-pipe will be activated to elevate Samus to the Missile Expansion on the left.

Missile Expansion #30: Triclops Pit

Use the X-Ray Visor and jump to the platforms to the right. At the top, shoot a missile at the tall rock pillar—double Jump to acquire the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #31: Storage Cavern

Enter the dark pit with lava tubes. Underneath the entryway, there’s a tunnel – Morph Ball through to the next area and roll through the pathway to the right. In the end, Morph Ball into the next tunnel. Climb the rock ledges, enter the door, and traverse the cavern. The Missile Expansion will be at the end of the grated floor.

Missile Expansion #32: Fiery Shores

Morph Ball into the left opening, and Morph Ball Bomb jump the platforms. Continue the metal path to the end to obtain the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #33: Phendrana Shorelines

Jump onto the ruined structure with the pipe underneath and onto the rock platforms. Go to the tower on the opposite end and shoot a Super Missile at the weakened Cordite panel. Doing so will show a cutscene of a stone pillar to the left opening, exposing a tunnel with Spider Ball tracks. The Missile Expansion will be at the end of the tunnel.

Missile Expansion #34: Phendrana Shorelines

Go to the shortest rock platform Samus used to get to the tower. Circle it to find a crevice inside, with a Missile Expansion blocked by a sheet of ice. Shoot the ice with a plasma beam to acquire the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #35: Ice Ruins East

Take a hooked right turn to find a sheet of ice blocking a small aperture. Shoot the ice with a Plasma Beam to obtain the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #36: Ice Ruins East

Turn around and climb the rock platforms. Samus will need to take a hooked left turn while double-jumping the obstacles. In the end, take a sharp left. There’s a Spider Ball Track – using Spider Ball, follow the track to obtain the Missile Expansion at the end.

Shoot the Cordite column with a Super Missile to acquire the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #38: Research Lab Aether

Up the elevator and climb the black/blue platforms above the ramp. Morph Ball through the twisting platform to obtain the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #39: Quarantine Monitor

Use Grapple Beam to latch and swing across the 2 Grapple Points onto the snow-covered platform. Morph Ball into the tunnel – the Missile Expansion will be in the center in a dark room on the other side.

Missile Expansion #40: Frost Cave

Use Grapple Beam on the Grapple Point under the moving platform, and swing to the rocks on the other side. Have Samus reach the highest point in the room, parallel to the moving platform. Shoot a missile at the snowy lump in the center of the ceiling – it will fall and break the ice underneath. Have Samus use her Gravity Suit and dive into the now-exposed ice water. The Missile Expansion will be inside.

Missile Expansion #41: Gravity Chamber

Shoot an enormous icicle on the ceiling – breaking it will expose a Grapple Point. Platform up the rocks, use Grapple Beam on the now-exposed Grapple Point, and land on the circular opening across the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #42: Main Quarry

Activate the Power Conduit on the highest level and scan the terminal to power up the crane. Doing so will cause the crane to rotate and break a large portion of the wall, exposing the Missile Expansion. Use Spider Ball to climb the crane and drop onto the Grapple Point platform on the crane’s edge. Activate a Bomb Jump to position Samus into the crevice and acquire the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #43: Security Access A

Use a Power Bomb to break the Bendezium wall to obtain the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #44: Elite Research

Get Samus to the highest area of the room and scan the computer out of the outer portion of the wall – triggering two platforms to come down to Samus’ level. Double-jump the platforms and kill the Trooper Pirate. Use the Spinner on the Morph Ball Slot to rotate the Pulse Beam to the left. Scan the computer screen to make the Pulse Beam fire the weakened wall, revealing the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #45: Elite Control Access

Shoot the explosive crates on the above platform. The aftermath will reveal the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #46: Metroid Quarantine A

Use X-Ray Visor to hop the invisible platforms and fungi. Once Samus encounters a large Bendezium wall, break it with a Power Bomb. Samus will need to do this on both walls. Use the Spider Ball Track, hop across another invisible platform, and acquire the Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #47: Fungal Hall Access

The Missile Expansion will be underneath one of the fungi on the floor – Morph Ball to obtain it.

Missile Expansion #48: Fungal Hall B

At the end of the room, on the floor, use Thermal Visor to reveal the Missile Expansion in the center of some tiny fungi. A wall blocks it, so use a Power Bomb to break through.

Missile Expansion #49: Metroid Quarantine B

Maneuver through the two Spider Ball tracks to get to the computer. Scan the screen to uncover the lab area. Kill the Trooper Pirate and shoot a Super Missile at one of the stasis Missile Expansion.

Missile Expansion #50: Phazon Processing Center

Go to the east side of the room and use X-Ray Visor to reveal the Missile Expansion. Because it’s behind a wall, break it with a Power Bomb to obtain the Missile Expansion.
