Death in Paradise continues to be a BBC favourite and bosses recently confirmed filming had started on season 13.

Sharing a social media photo of a clapboard underwater, they said: “We’re back in Guadeloupe with a splash! Today was our first day of filming series 13 of #DeathInParadise!”

The series is known and loved for its A-list guest stars and it has been reported the upcoming Christmas special will feature a soap star.

EastEnders actress Patsy Kensit has allegedly spent two weeks filming in Guadeloupe.

A source told The Sun: “Patsy will play a posh totty in the drama and was in her element as she filmed in the Caribbean.

“Her calendar has been jam-packed with EastEnders and wedding planning.”

The actress sent fans into a frenzy after she joined the cast of EastEnders earlier this year as Emma Harding, the estranged mother of Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold).

Her role was short-lived and viewers were keen to find out what her next project would be after leaving Albert Square.

On May 8 she shared a photo of some initials written in the sand on a beach, without specifying where she was.

A couple of weeks previously she had been on holiday in The Maldives, so it could have been a snap from her summer break.

Express.co.uk has contacted the BBC for a comment.

The actress was also tipped to be returning to Emmerdale as part of an explosive storyline, having played Sadie King between 2004 and 2006.

Viewers thought she would return as part of a storyline involving Caleb Milligan (William Ash) and Nicky (Lewis Cope).

As Death in Paradise filming resumes, DS Florence Cassell star Josephine Jobert also teased fans as they thought she could be returning.

Josephine commented on the social media update with several flame emojis, with one fan responding: “@josephinejobert_official is this a sign that you’ll be back?”

Another said: “@josephinejobert_official PLEASE JUST COME BACK.”

Death in Paradise is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
