Eternity Devil is the strongest Devil we have witnessed in the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man so far. With his powers to create an eternity loop and stop time, he has trapped the Devil Hunters in the hotel and agrees to spare their lives on the condition of feeding him Chainsaw Devil, a.k.a Denji. Now it’s time to witness an incredible fight between the two after Denji figures out a way to defeat him.

The Devil Hunters find themselves stuck on the eighth floor of the hotel, and Aki realizes that the time has also stopped there, with the second hand of the clock returning to its initial position every time. Kobani is freaked out at the situation, and while Himeno tries to calm her, Power laughs at Kobeni. Denji notices Himeno smoking the same type of cigarette as Aki, and the former replies that she was the one to make Aki try cigarettes for the first time. She also reveals their time together when Aki took Himeno’s revenge on the partner of the deceased Devil Hunter, who slapped Himeno by sticking chewing gum on her back.
In the meantime, the Devil grows larger and larger, covering up the entire exit of the corridor. The Eternity Devil asks for Chainsaw Devil’s heart in exchange for their freedom. Terrified Kobeni tries to attack Denji using a knife, but he is saved by Aki, who says that they just kill the Devils and not the Devil Hunters.
Kobeni and Arai continue to fear the Devil, supplying him with more and more power, and the Devil flips the entire floor vertically. She tries to kill Denji again, and this time, Aki saves Denji by taking the stab instead and reveals that in order to kill the Gun Devil, he needs more people by his side, so he can’t let Denji die. Power heals Aki’s wound, and Denji deduces that Eternity Devil wants to kill him because he fears his chainsaws, and that’s the reason why he wants others to kill Denji for him. Denji decides to fight the Eternity Devil and says that he will inflict so much pain on him that he will pray for his own death.
