Chapter 79 will tease the true manipulative powers of Eida, which can make people forget their original memories and rewrite them with memories of others. She uses this power on Boruto and Kawaki in the upcoming chapter, making them live each other’s lives.
Boruto Chapter 79 Spoilers
The chapter starts with the search for Kawaki, and Shikamaru deploys Shinobi to look out for him. On the other hand, Kawaki continues to erase his chakra to conceal himself. Mitsuya also joins the search team, and Boruto also adds Sarada to the team as she is concerned about Mitsuya.
Kawaki is exhausted after continuously concealing his chakra, and Eida manages to locate him using her Senrigan, after which she goes after him. Daemon couldn’t fly like Eida, so he told her to take him with her. Finally, she manages to find Kawaki and assures him that she is on his side. Kawaki shows his desperation to protect Naruto and talks about his desire to be at Boruto’s place instead.
Eida then uses her power to rewrite history, which according to Momoshiki, is a god-like power. With her powers, Eida manages to switch Boruto and Eida’s lives, meaning Boruto has now become Kohana’s enemy, who debatably killed Naruto, and on the other hand, Kawaki is now Kawaki Uzumaki, Naruto’s son. Not just Boruto and Kawaki’s memories were altered, but it seems like Eida’s power had an effect on everyone else’s memories as well.
However, Sarada seems to be an exception, as she doesn’t seem to be affected by Eida’s power. Meanwhile, Mitsuki and Boruto start fighting. Momoshiki comments that Kawaki is now looked at as Naruto’s son, who was born and raised in Kohana. At the same time, Boruto is now merely an outsider, for whom Naruto is the person who killed Seventh Hokage. The side text of the chapter reads, “Two paths rewritten by the power of “God.” A pure wish soon becomes a reality.”
