Best sniper in COD: Warzone Season 3

0

Sniper rifles are all nerfed in Call of Duty: Warzone, as you can see in our Season 3 patch notes breakdown. The adjustments made to damage ranges will mean that you won’t have snipers one-shotting players from kilometers away throughout the match. Instead, if you want to one-shot a foe, you’ll need the right sniper.

As we detailed in our COD: Warzone Season 3 patch notes, things have changed quite drastically for sniper rifles in the game, and now if you want that increasingly elusive one-shot kill, you’ll need to aim for the head, and even then, only certain weapons will result in a kill from this at long ranges. Take a look below for our suggestion for the best sniper rifle in COD: Warzone Season 3

Best sniper – Warzone Season 3

If you really want to dominate in Season 3 with a sniper rifle, then there are six sniper rifles that will guarantee a kill when shooting an enemy to the head, at any range:

Marksman Rifle Charlie (MW).
SP-R 208 (MW).
Pelington 703 (BOCW).
Swiss K31 (BOCW).
Type 99 (VG).
Kar98k (VG).

Now, the Kar98k is technically a Marksman Rifle, but it still manages to be one of the strongest rifles full stop, especially since a headshot is death from absolutely any range. If you’re already an experienced Kar98k user, then there isn’t much reason for you to move away from it in Season 3.

However, if you dedicate yourself to long-range rifles entirely, then you’ll want a dedicated sniper rifle, and there’s only one choice for that, the Swiss K31. This is the most popular sniper rifle, still ahead of the incredibly capable ZRG 20mm. These are the attachments you should pick for the Swiss K31 for the best results, as suggested by ItsLukeeyy

Muzzle: GRU Suppressor.
Barrel: 24.9″ Combat Recon.
Laser: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight.
Optic: Stock.
Stock: Stock.
Underbarrel: Stock.
Magazine: 7 Rnd.
Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap.

After the damage range update, increasing your effective damage range is more important if you want sniper rifles to behave as you’re used to. As such, we’ve got several attachments here that boost Range more than anything, followed by Control, and minor boosts to Accuracy and Damage. This will give you a sniping experience most similar to the pre-patch experience, and you’ll be able to get plenty of rewarding headshots with this loadout.
