Announced for January 18th, the Xbox Developer_Direct will be showing off some major games including Obsidian’s RPG Avowed, news on The Elder Scrolls Online for 2024, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II and more. The showcase will take place on January 18th at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm UK.
On the list include MachineGames Indiana Jones, Obsidians Pillars of Eternity based Action-RPG Avowed, Oxide Games’ Ara: History Untold, and the epic return of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II.
Outlined in the Xbox post were confirmation we wouldn’t be seeing anything on Activision Blizzard, as they will have their own news announcements later this year.
What you can expect is to see what games are coming to Xbox as well for Microsoft’s subscription service Game Pass. For those interested in finding out what the plans are for the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online be sure to tune in for the global reveal at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm UK for a presentation by the developer. It will take a look at the next major chapter which will feature a new zone, storyline, and other major features.
Hopefully, we’ll be getting to see lots of gameplay for Avowed, which is intriguingly set in the Pillars of Eternity universe of Eora. We already have a great video which goes over what we know so far about the game, including possible story beats for what was shown in footage so far. But a new showcase this January will surely invite fans to find out more of what’s in store for this Action-RPG which looks to take a leaf out of Skyrim’s book with its first-person magical battling.
Make sure to tune in for the event so as to not miss anything. But you can also check back here as we’ll be covering the news.
