WWE Wrestlemania 2023: Start Time, Match Card, How To Watch, And More

0

WWE’s road to Wrestlemania is about to culminate again in its biggest annual event. WrestleMania 39 is back in Hollywood for a two-night spectacle on April 1 and 2. The second night is headlined by a big-time match between WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns and 2023 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes. Make sure you keep GameSpot open on your browser as we approach Wrestlemania, as we will have live coverage of the event from the press box at both nights.

Both nights of the show of shows will be taking place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Interestingly, the stadium was originally set to be the home of WrestleMania 37 before the COVID-19 pandemic forced it to be relocated to WWE’s Performance Center, which remains the only Wrestlemania to not feature a live audience. Former WWE Champion and Grand Slam winner The Miz will serve as the official host for the event. WrestleMania 39 will be the sixth to be held in the greater Los Angeles area (after 2, VII, XII, 2000, and 21). It’ll be the seventh in California overall (including 31, which was held in the San Francisco Bay Area).

Along with Rhodes and Reigns, another big match is Charlotte Flair defending her Smackdown Women’s Championship against 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley. This is a rematch of sorts from 2020 when Charlotte won the Women’s Royal Rumble for the right to take on Rhea for her NXT Championship, but since then, Ripley has come into her own as a viable opponent. Seth “Freakin” Rollins will take on Logan Paul, which will surely get a lot of eyes as Paul has also impressed wrestling fans over the last year with his own high-flying style.

Start time:

  • 8 PM ET
  • 7 PM CT
  • 5 PM PT
  • 1 AM BST (April 1, April 2)
  • 10 AM AEST (April 1, April 2)

Usually, there’s a Kickoff Show that airs one hour prior to the main card. There, you’ll typically see at least one match take place. They’ve moved matches like the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale outside of the event. As with last year, the event will take place on the Smackdown prior to Night 1 of Wrestlemania. Of note, Bobby Lashley–who was originally slated to face Bray Wyatt at Wrestlemania–will complete in the battle royale.

How to watch:

If you want to watch the main card for WWE’s Wrestlemania, you can purchase the event through your cable or satellite provider or watch it on Peacock . While Peacock has a free tier, you will not be able to watch the WWE event through that. You’ll need a Premium ($5 a month, with ads) or Premium Plus Peacock ($10 a month, no ads) account. Regardless of which tier you choose, there will be a few WWE-related ads throughout the show.

There are multiple ways to watch Peacock. Aside from watching it on mobile devices and on the PC, you can stream the service on Amazon Fire devices, Android TV, Apple TV, LG Smart TVs, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Roku, Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xfinity, and more.
