Once your ship crashes in this action RPG, you’ll soon realize that you’ll need to look for some tools. We’ll explain where to find the Pickaxe and Woodcutter’s Axe in No Rest for the Wicked.

No Rest for the Wicked: Where to find the Axe and Pickaxe

Not only are you slaying enemies in this Moon Studios game, but you’re also collecting crafting materials. If you come across trees or ore veins, the game will give you a pop-up telling you they require special tools. You can find the Axe in No Rest for the Wicked north of spawn by a glowing caged cave, and the Pickaxe is on the ledge of a tower northwest of where you first spawn.

How to find the Woodcutter’s Axe

The easiest tool to grab first is the Copper Woodcutter’s Axe, which is sitting on the sand just north of where you spawn on the shore. From the shore, walk north and a bit east to where you’ll eventually find some water to swim in.

Before you reach the water, on the left is a light coming from a cave that’s blocked by some bars, and just in front of it is the Copper Woodcutter’s Axe. You can now chop down trees and collect wood with this tool.

The Copper Pickaxe is a bit tougher to spot, but I’ll show you where to go. First, head northwest from your initial spawn point, cross the bridge, then head through the crumbled hole in the wall. Instead of walking up the large set of stairs on your right, go left up the smaller stone staircase.

Beware of an enemy nearby and take them out before proceeding. Ahead of you is a tower with a spiral staircase, and you’ll need to fight the enemy there too. Climb up the steps until you see an entrance to a ledge on your left, walk along it, and pick up the Copper Pickaxe sitting at the end of it.

Now you can mine ore veins and collect necessary crafting materials. But what about that Cerim armor you started the game in, where can you find that?
