Where is your stamina in Party Animals?

The stamina meter serves as one of the most important mechanics to keep track of when playing through the chaotic slap fights of Party Animals. Despite this, the stamina wheel might prove a bit tough to spot on the screen due to how small and tucked away it is. And if you choose to play Party Animals on the Steam Deck, you may have to squint a little bit to see this gauge on the portable gaming PC’s relatively small screen. So where exactly can you find the stamina meter in Party Animals?

Where to find your stamina meter

If you look at the very upper left corner of the screen, you will notice a small circular icon featuring the character you’re currently playing as. The icon’s yellow perimeter represents your character’s stamina, and it will gradually deplete in a counterclockwise direction as you perform various actions.

From my experimentation, if you simply move around and use your standard punch attack, your stamina wheel won’t go down at all. On the other hand, aside from grabbing, pretty much every other action you can perform comes with at least some cost to your stamina, including your basic kick and headbutt attacks. Those moves cost very little stamina, but others, particularly the heavy punch and the drop kick, cost significantly more. On top of that, your stamina will go down for as long as you hold down the run button.

Naturally, if you fully run out of stamina at any point during a match in Party Animals, you won’t be able to perform those stamina-dependent moves for a short while. Fortunately, the stamina wheel recovers rather quickly as long as you find the space to avoid performing those actions for about a second or two. Plus, your stamina depletes much, much slower than it recovers, so you can get away with a lot.
