It’s the penultimate weekend before The Final Shape launches, and with Legendary Shards being phased out next month, it’s time to splurge on some new Exotics. Fortunately, Xur is here and is still willing to accept that form of currency in exchange for Exotic arms and armor. Here’s where Xur is this weekend, and everything he has for sale.
This week you can find Xur in The Tower, inside the Hangar. For his weapon, Xur is offering Prometheus Lens. Hunters can pick up Shinobu’s Vow gauntlets; Titans can grab the Eternal Warrior helmet; and Warlocks can buy the Skull of Dire Ahamkara.
Xur Location
Spawn in using the Courtyard transmat zone in the Tower to find Xur this week. Head left and down the stairs to enter the Hangar section, then hang another left. Make your way to the north end of the area and look for a staircase that will take you onto a catwalk, where Xur is waiting.

Exotic Armor
Shinobu’s Vow (Exotic Hunter)
Shinobu’s Vow is designed for Hunters who just can’t get enough of their Skip Grenades, as it gives them an additional charge for that ability. When your Skip Grenade damages enemies, you’ll get extra energy for that explosive skill as well. Fittingly, the discipline stat is the highest on this roll, so it ties in very nicely with the identity of this Exotic.

Eternal Warrior (Exotic Titan)
Eternal Warrior will be one of 19 Exotic armor pieces overhauled in The Final Shape, but for now, this roll of the helmet is still all about enhancing your Arc abilities and protecting you. Arc final bows buff Arc-energy weapons, and when you activate your Fists of Havoc Super, you’ll gain an overshield to increase your survivability. Intellect, resilience, and strength are pretty good on this roll, but mobility is unnecessarily high and unfortunately means other crucial stats like recovery and discipline have low numbers attached.

Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Exotic Warlock)
Skull of Dire Ahamkara is all about giving your Warlock an extra bit of protection during the animation for the Nova Bomb Super. You’re generally vulnerable for that brief moment, so in PvP, this is a good and very specific Exotic to have equipped. It also refills your Super meter according to how many kills you got with your Nova Bomb, so a PvE build focused on that ability makes this a good Exotic. The crucial stat here, intellect, is average at best, but at least you’re getting high resilience on this roll and a pretty good discipline stat.

Exotic Weapons
Prometheus Lens (Exotic trace rifle)
Xur has offered Prometheus Lens for several weeks now, and in case you still haven’t acquired it, you’re missing out on one of the most fun trace rifles in the game. This Exotic weapon is great for taking out cannon fodder troops as it’ll partially refill its magazine with each enemy killed, and the longer the beam is held on a target, the more scorch stacks it’ll apply to a tough foe.

Hawkmoon (Exotic hand cannon)
Hawkmoon is dead average this week, so don’t feel too bad if you give it a miss. Eye of the Storm is this week’s perk, a decent ability that improves accuracy and handling according to your health level.

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
