What free games are on the Epic Games Store right now?

PC gamers with an Epic Games Store account (it’s free) can pick up Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War, a turn-based strategy wargame set in Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 universe, beginning today and until March 23.

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War launched in 2018 for Windows PC. It adapts the popular tabletop miniatures franchise for video gaming audiences. Players choose one of four factions (Imperial Guards, Space Marines, Orks, or Necrons) and set out to conquer the map. Although considered a 4X strategy game, there is no diplomacy involved, which rather fits the tone of the brutal Warhammer 40,000 universe.

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War is available to claim now, but only for the next seven days. Last week’s free game, Call of the Sea, is back in the marketplace at its regular price.

The Epic Games Store freebies are available to anyone who has an Epic Games Store account; they’ll be added to your library and launched from there. Epic has been giving away free games on a weekly basis, as an inducement to join the store (and play Epic’s own games, such as Fortnite), since it launched in December 2018.

When does the Epic Games Store update with free games?

Typically, Epic refreshes its lineup of free games every Thursday at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT.
