Warzone’s Mid-Season 5 Update Adds Rebirth Resurgence Supreme & New Weapons

0

Activision has confirmed the release date and time for Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard’s final content update, which will reportedly be an “epic conclusion” to the final season.

With Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 on the horizon, a new era of Call of Duty will be ushered in later this year. Sadly though, this means support for the original Warzone will be coming to an end, at least in terms of new seasons and content anyway. But Activision does intend to go out with a bang, releasing two new weapons, a new multiplayer map, and a new Rebirth Island game mode for some “supreme” fun.

Warzone x Vanguard: Season 5 Reloaded Update Release Date & Time

As confirmed via a new Call of Duty blog post, the next content update for both Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Vanguard will go live on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022. Sledgehammer Games also took to Twitter to confirm the release time for the new update as 9AM PT / 12PM ET / 5PM BST.

Vanguard players will be able to pre-load the update ahead of its release later today, but the included content won’t be live in both Warzone and Vanguard until the aforementioned time.

Call of Duty: Season 5 Reloaded New Content

A plethora of new content is coming to both Warzone and Vanguard with the mid-season update, including two new weapons, the Lienna 57 LMG and the BP50 Assault Rifle. Fans of the original Modern Warfare 2 will recognise the BP50 Assault Rifle, as it was once known as the F2000 in the 2009 classic.

Vanguard players will also receive a brand new multiplayer map, Fortress, but the official blog post states that it will be releasing later in the season. According to the map’s description, Fortress is a “post-apocalyptic Mediterranean fortress cobbled together with old ship parts and crumbling walls”.

Finally, we have Rebirth Island: Resurgence Supreme. This new game mode will be available in Warzone later today, and is “all action and no messing around”. According to Activision, the mode will be available in Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads, with the focus being more on skill and less on loadouts. Resurgence Supreme fills the map with epic quality or greater ground loot, with fan-favorite blueprints, increased health, an increased resurgence countdown, and more.
