Lasers are a very important attachment for weapons in the Gunsmith in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. All the laser attachments provide a noticeable improvement to a gun’s performance, however, they come with the downside of potentially giving away your position due to the visible laser.

Warzone 2 Laser Stats Comparison Table

The table below shows the effects that will occur when equipping a Laser attachment in Modern Warfare and Warzone 2. It should be noted that all lasers have only one negative effect: a laser that other players can see. Each laser’s visibility behaves a bit differently, and we’ve chosen to highlight those differences in the next table. Only one laser, the Canted Vibro-DOT 7, has an additional downside, reduced Recoil Stabilization.

The stats provided below are taken from in-game testing and will be slightly off from the exact amounts in the game files. Take these measurements as rough estimates to help guide your decision when selecting an attachment.

Attachments are listed in the same order as the in-game Gunsmith menu.

Warzone 2 Laser Visibility Comparison Table

There are a few ways that the projected laser behaves; whether the light is visible while the gun is held at the Hip or while Aiming Down Sights. Furthermore, there are 3 types of ways an enemy player can see the light from the attachment:

  1. The Glow directly on the player’s weapon,
  2. The Beam projected out of the weapon, highlighting where the player is aiming, and
  3. The Dot that is projected onto the surface of where the player is aiming.

Attachments are listed in the same order as the in-game Gunsmith menu.

Best Lasers in Warzone 2

When it comes to choosing the best laser in Warzone 2 it really boils down to your preferred gameplay style. The FTAQ Grimline Laser is great for Hipfire kills, and the FSS OLE-V Laser is good for aiming down sights.

Best Laser For Hipfire In Warzone 2

The best Laser for a loadout that is focused on improving Hip Fire is the FTAQ Grimline Laser.

The image below shows the differences between Laser Attachments that provide improvements to Hip Fire accuracy.

As you can see, both the FTAQ Grimline and the Corvus PEQ Q Beam-5 provide the same improvement to Hip Fire. The Stovl DR Laser Box provides a bit less reduction, and the 1 MW Laser Box only provides 10% reduction. The benefits that these two offer is that their laser beam is not visible to other players. For the top pick, however, the FTAQ Grimline beats the Corvus PEQ Q Beam-5 as it also provides the fastest Sprint to Fire time as well.

Best Laser For Aiming Down Sights In Warzone 2

The best Laser for a loadout that is focused on improving Accuracy while Aiming Down Sights is the FSS OLE-V Laser.

The image below shows an example of the Idle Sway Weapon Movement of the MCPR 300 and the reduction that all laser attachments with +Aim Stability provide.

When it comes to improving accuracy while Aiming down the sights, the most important factor is Aim Stability. Aim Stability refers to the base amount of weapon sway while holding a gun. For the sake of realism, all guns sway a little due to the character’s own breathing and stability. On some guns, typically Snipers and Marksman Rifles, players can hold Shift to drastically reduce this to almost entirely eliminate weapon sway.

For our testing purposes, we used the stock scope on the MCPR-300. Our results found that all Lasers that have +AIm Stability reduce the amount of movement by about 20-25% from the base sway movement. The main difference between each laser is the speed at which the movement occurs. We noticed the most reduction in the speed with the FSS OLE-V Laser.

*The Canted Vibro-DOT 7 also improves idle stability as well but was difficult to compare exact movements due to the attachment blocking the use of sights.
