Six-part French thriller ‘Off Season’ is coming to the UK courtesy of Walter Presents this month.
Starring Maria Hands, Sofiane Zermani and Clarina Sierro, the series was created by Sarah Farkas, Claire Kanny and Marine Ruimi.
While investigating a serial killer, a Swiss detective is faced with a catastrophic event that will test her moral limits and change her life forever. An alpine Swiss village nestled between the mountains is shaken when a succession of dead bodies are found. Worse still, the evidence suggests that the victims were all killed by the same assailant. Lead detective Captain Piery is tasked with finding the serial killer before they strike again.
Unfortunately, while working on this high-stakes case the detective discovers that her son was involved in a terrible accident with fatal consequences. In an attempt to keep her son out of jail, she makes a series of desperate decisions which will put her job on the line and eventually her life in jeopardy, for the serial killer has been watching and knows what she’s done. Now captain Piery needs to catch the killer before he catches up with her.
Walter Presents: ‘Off Season’ will be available as a full boxset on C4 Streaming from Friday 24th November 2023. The first episode will launch on Channel 4 on Sunday 26th November at 11pm.
