Unsurprisingly, John Wick Has A Ridiculously High Bodycount

All it took was one bad night to reawaken the Bogeyman, but three films and scores of dead bodies later, John Wick has cemented his legacy as one of the deadliest killers in all of cinema. So just how many people has one enraged assassin put six feet under?

According to the calculations at Fandom, Wick’s various killing sprees since he came out of retirement have resulted in 302 people killed or defeated in combat across the first three films in the series. The second film has the highest kill-count, with 123 people meeting their end, and 70% of all kills came from a well-executed headshot.

26 types of different guns were used to reduce the assassin gig economy to single digits, 22 people died from sword, knife, and pencil attacks, and for unique weapons, Wick managed to get a single kill each with a book and a horse. Out of all of his opponents, Iron Chef host Mark Dacascos proved to be the most resilient, lasting almost four minutes against Wick in a one-on-one fight. It was a pretty good fight.

Wick didn’t emerge from these battles unscathed and has racked up some serious injuries along the way. He’s lost a finger, endured two bullet wounds, and has survived six stab wounds in total.

With John Wick Chapter 4 in theaters now, expect those numbers to be readjusted once the dust has settled. The latest film starring Keanu Reeves as the unstoppable Baba Yaga is already killing it at the box office and has posted a franchise-best $8.9 million in Thursday night box office figures in the US. It’s estimated that John Wick: Chapter 4 will pull in as much as $70 million for its opening weekend in the US, potentially the best opening weekend for the John Wick series.

This could be the last that we see of John Wick in cinemas for a long time once the end credits roll on this bladder-busting three-hour film, as director Chad Stahelski said in an interview that he and Reeves are “done for the moment.”
