Tower of Fantasy tier list: the best weapons

0

Tower of Fantasy has 15 characters to choose from, with 5 ‘SR’ grade and 10 ‘SSR’ grade units making up your selection. SR units are typically a little weaker than SSR units, but SSR units are prohibitively rare, with most accounts only getting two to three during their first week of playing. If you’re sticking with the game for a long time, however, you’ll want to try and invest in a specific set of weapons.

Each Simulacra Weapon is attached to a role — Fortitude, Attack, and Benediction. Here are the buffs they bring:

Balanced: Have one of each type of weapon equipped. Final damage and damage reduction increased by 5%, and shatter and healing increased by 20%. In team play, the final damage and damage reduction is increased to 25%.
Fortitude: Have at least two Fortitude weapons equipped. Increase damage reduction by 25%, shatter by 60%, and aggro by 800%. In team play, damage reduction increased to 45%.
Attack: Have at least two Attack weapons equipped. Increase final damage by 10%, and in team play, that increases to 40%.
Benediction: Have at least two Support weapons equipped. Increase your healing output by 100%, and by an additional 100% in team play.

Our tier list is separated by their specific role, but you can mix and match it to fit your playstyle. Here’s our Tower of Fantasy tier listthe best weapons to explore with, in descending order:

Fortitude

If you’re aiming to tank, you really only have three options at the moment — Molten Shield V2, Rosy Edge, and the Pummeler.

Rosy Edge

Highest Shatter bonus for Fortitude weapons, but a slow Charge stat means you will not be using your special ability often. This weapon is Frost-aligned, so it is particularly effective against fiery shields.

Molten Shield V2

This weapon has a balanced amount of both Shatter and Charge, which means you’ll be cracking shields and doing significant damage with your ability often. Upon using your skill, changes to a completely different attack set and is good for players looking to diversify their play.

Pummeler

Pummeler, being the only SR on this list, is a good bit weaker than the other SSR options. However, it has a similar Shatter stat to the Molten Shield V2, so if you lack Shatter options, Pummeler can fit the bill.

Attack

Scythe of the Crow

KING is a top-tier unit for good reason — a very high Shatter stat combined with excellent damage output, solid chase combos, and a built-in launcher into his basic attack string. If you pull KING at any point, you are arguably set in stone as having the best Attack weapon in the game.

Icewind Arrow

While lacking the Shatter potential of Scythe of the Crow, Icewind Arrow has a high Charge stat, meaning that you can fire off your special ability much more often. Considering that the special ability in question, Ice Shell, freezes enemies and deals additional damage makes this the best distance option in the game.

Dual EM Stars

The useful bit of the Dual EM Stars isn’t their damage output (although it has a high Charge rate.) No, it’s their ability to strip buffs off of your target from a distance, something incredibly useful in PVP. It also prevents buff application for six seconds and can cause massive bursts of damage in a short time frame.

Thunderblades

While this weapon also retains the ability to strip buffs, it is a melee weapon, making it much more difficult to land properly. The unique thing about the Thunderblades is that they have bonuses when you attack someone from behind, making this a solid PvE weapon choice.

Chakram of the Seas

While this weapon lacks good Shatter and Charge stats, it makes up for it by being the sole Grievous SSR weapon. Grievous applies a 20% buff to damage for all players, which makes it an excellent PvE weapon.

The Terminator

While not as technically powerful as the SSR weapons, Terminator is perfectly capable of laying down some heavy Shatter damage, retaining a SS rank in Shatter stats. Combined with the perks obtained from ranking up this weapon, you can use this to break shields very, very quickly. Just swap to a different weapon once you do.

Nightingale’s Feather

This SR bow is all about dodging and sniping. Headshot damage with this weapon is increased severely, and when you land enough hits, you regain dodge meter. Dodge skills inflict Grievous as well, making this an excellent supportive weapon.

Thunderous Halberd

Since this is the freebie weapon given to all players, it makes sense that it would be the last on the list, but the Thunderous Halberd does provide some utility — after shattering, you can boost your teammates’ attack by 15% for 30 seconds.

Benediction

Venus

This weapon is sort of a hybrid healing/damage-dealing weapon. When you use Pulse Lock or Particle Beam, you fire off a healing chain that tags yourself and nearby allies for a powerful heal worth 135% of your attack. This is invaluable in solo and world play, but team play may find the Absolute Zero a more viable option.

Absolute Zero

This weapon is sort of a hybrid healing/support weapon. While your healing output isn’t fantastic, the key benefit is being able to remove debuffs from your party and grant them a bonus 20% to damage output. Absolute Zero’s healing output does significantly better at six stars, however, gaining a pulse AoE heal and damage boost effect.

Negating Cube

This weapon does heal and boost damage significantly, but it relies on one unfortunate thing — your party has to pick up the orbs this weapon generates in order to gain the effects. In a dedicated group, this may not be a problem, but in random matchups, you can be sure that players aren’t paying attention.

Staff of Scars

This staff heals based on your dodging capabilities, making it a pretty solid start and arguably better than Negating Cube at low stars. However, the output is lower overall than the rest of the weapons on this list.
