Tomb Raider Reloaded marks the return of Keeley Hawes as Lara Croft.

After years of delays due to the pandemic, Tomb Raider Reloaded has finally received a concrete release date of February 14 for iOS and Android. Crystal Dynamics has announced that the roguelike mobile title will also be available for Netflix Games, where it’s included with all memberships without in-app purchases and apps. Tomb Raider Reloaded will also mark the return of Keeley Hawes as Lara Croft, the last time the actress portrayed the titular character was in 2018’s Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris.

Tomb Raider Reloaded was first announced all the way back in 2020 with a 2021 release window. However, the top-down shooter has never seen the light of day since then, having been pushed back indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic after a lackluster soft launch in Asia. After years of radio silence, Crystal Dynamics and collaborative studio Emerald City Games have announced it will finally head to iOS and Android on February 14. Players can now pre-register for Tomb Raider Reloaded to receive a golden version of Lara Croft’s dual pistols at launch.

Promising a routine rotation of events and weekly challenges, Tomb Raider Reloaded is a roguelike adventure game that includes iconic locations from previous games, such as the Lost Valley, the City of Vilcabamba, and St. Francis’ Folly. It also features familiar faces from the Tomb Raider series, like Werner Von Croy, Anaya Imanu, and Winston. Perhaps most excitingly, players will see the return of Keeley Hawes as female protagonist Lara Croft, who voiced her in Tomb Raider: Underworld, Tomb Raider: Legend, Guardian of Light, and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris.

Players will jump into the boots of Lara Croft on their cliff-climbing and swan-driving quests to collect the ancient Scion artifact while running from new and familiar enemies. They will clear ever-changing rooms by overcoming puzzles and hazardous traps. Lara Croft can utilize a variety of items that she finds along the way, such as runes that improve her stats, run-specific boosts, XP modifiers, and manuals to unlock and upgrade outfits. Players will also stack perks to enhance Lara’s abilities and craft weapons as they progress through each level.

By the looks of the trailer and screenshots, Tomb Raider Reloaded combines puzzle elements with a top-down shooter style befitting modern rogue-like games. After being lost in the shuffle for a while, Tomb Raider Reloaded will launch on February 14 for iOS, Android, and Netflix Games.
