This Morning viewers were left less than impressed with guests Nicola Thorp and Holly Willoughby as they gave their thoughts on the recent protests.

As the two hosts discussed the disruption it was clear Nick Ferrari had differing opinions to Nicola and Holly.

Holly said: “The suffragettes back at that time were deeply unpopular too, you look back at that time and you think, ‘God wasn’t it amazing what these women were doing.'”

Agreeing, Nicola added: “There’s no way we would be talking about Just Stop Oil if they just set up a picket line outside Parliament.”

Although it looks as though viewers were unimpressed with the comments as many took to Twitter to share their outrage.

@iainm68 fumed: “What sort of idiot is Nicola Thorpe supporting Just Stop oil protesters? Did she see Derby Day when they put the horses & jockeys in danger. What a moron!”

@shabbapne added: “Don’t bracket the Suffragettes in with those morons!”

@Itt39354118 commented: “So does Nicola agree with the stop oil protester’s stopping the emergency services.”

@clsyoshimoo tweeted: “Read the room, Nicola.”

@kellymcc5 questioned: “Why have they got Nicola Thorpe back?”

@_phantom_1974 fumed: “@nicolathorp_ proving how out of touch she is with reality on #ThisMorning, protest – yes, of course. But the amount of disruption has gone too far now Maybe stick to acting, at least you were mildly decent at that.”

During the discussion, it was clear Nick strongly agreed with Nicola on her support of Just Oil protestors.

He fumed: “The message is out there, there is climate change, something has to be done.

“Disrupting people watching rugby at Twickenham, snooker in Sheffield, cricket at Lords, it’s not fair.

“They’ve come for a day out, it won’t advance their cause and Nicola I remind you one of the founders said these demonstrations are now counter productive.

“You will lose the sympathy you require.”

This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am
