EA has announced that The Sims 4 now has a dedicated team that will primarily focus on addressing ongoing bugs.

The publisher shared the news today in a social media post, where it explained how it plans to combat ongoing technical issues for its popular free-to-play game that have continued to interrupt gameplay over time.

After recognising players’ frustration, EA confirmed that it has officially assembled a team “to invest in the core game experience” which includes “tackling reported concerns.”

“This newly formed and focused team means we’ll be able to increase both the number of fixes and the frequency with which we ship these batched updates,” the statement reads. The first of these patches is expected to release later this month.

EA has also offered up a Laundry List of changes that will arrive with the May patch, which will cover the base game and it’s additional DLC expansions. You can take a look at these upcoming fixes on the The Sims 4 Newsroom.

“Our goal is to fix more reported concerns, both big and small, over the next six months and beyond to check off more boxes on our Laundry List,” the blog reads. “This is our first release, with others following roughly every two months.”

In addition, EA explained that it will continue to make “core improvements to the performance of The Sims 4” with the next patch set to include optimizations across all platforms so the game uses less memory.

“As a result, you may experience fewer crashes, a better frame rate, and/or a more responsive simulation,” it said.
