Bethesda is gearing up to release the long-awaited next-generation update for Fallout 4. Thanks to this patch, players will be able to enjoy a much more visually stunning version on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.

Next-Gen Update For Fallout 4

This update will include new configuration options that will allow us to choose between better performance or prioritizing quality. Bethesda assures that players will be able to play Fallout 4 at 60 FPS and with higher resolutions. They also clarify that to enjoy the update, players must own Fallout 4 within that console.

In addition to these improvements, PC players will also enjoy Fallout 4 like never before on widescreen and ultra-wide screens thanks to the implementation of specific settings for them. All of this is also accompanied by fixes in the Creation Kit and improvements in certain missions. Overall, we can enjoy a more stable Fallout 4 without any issues accessing mods. And if you happen to have a Steam Deck, you’re in luck: Fallout 4 is already verified on Valve’s handheld.

Bethesda has also taken the opportunity to add more content: free items from the Creation Club, a new mission called “Echoes of the Past,” a pack of makeshift weapons, and 38 Halloween-themed decorative items.

As if that weren’t enough, they haven’t forgotten about PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players. These will receive another free update with many performance improvements, mainly focused on login and missions.

The Fallout Saga Reborn With The Arrival of the TV Show

The release of the Fallout TV show last Thursday has brought a new wave of players to the games. It’s curious, but the effect of the series arriving on Prime Gaming has led players back to Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, the two latest games in the saga.

Bethesda is not unaware of this phenomenon caused by the series’ arrival and has announced, for late April, the long-awaited update for the next-gen for Fallout 4. This patch will arrive on April 25th, and surely with it, the number of players will continue to grow on all platforms; remember that the update is coming to Xbox Series, PC, and PlayStation 5.

It would have been awesome if the patch for Fallout 4 had arrived alongside the series’ launch on April 11th. This didn’t happen, but it would have been interesting to see how far this surge of players could have gone beyond Steam.

We remind you that with Prime Gaming, you can now get a code for Xbox or PC and download the great Fallout 76 completely free. Also If you haven’t tried Fallout 4 yet, along with this update, the game becomes available for purchase within the Epic Games Store. Certainly, Bethesda has given us more than a good handful of reasons to return to the Commonwealth
