The Boys’ Erick Kripke Wants Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki In Season 5

Erick Kripke created Supernatural in 2005, and he only stayed with the show for the first five seasons. Kripke may have left a hit series a decade before it finished its 15-season run, but he’s always eager to reunite with his Supernatural stars. Kripke’s current series, The Boys, has already featured Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and Jim Beaver as Robert Singer. And if Kripke has his way, Jared Padalecki will join The Boys Season 5.

“He’s been busy the last few years, so schedules haven’t worked out,” Kripke told Variety. “But now, unfortunately, [Walker] got canceled–but the good thing is he’s free. And I feel like I have to complete my game of Supernatural Pokemon and I have my one big one–very big one–left to catch.”

As Kripke alluded to above, Padalecki’s current series, Walker, was canceled after four seasons by The CW despite being the highest-rated show on the network. Talks to save the series collapsed earlier this week, and now the series has come to a premature end.

The Boys was recently renewed for a fifth season, but Season 4 will also include two more former Supernatural cast members. Jeffery Dean Morgan will play a character who has yet to be revealed, while Rob Benedict is set to portray Splinter, a superhuman.

Prime Video will premiere The Boys Season 4 on June 13.
