Guilty Gear: Strive’s upcoming beta test will support crossplay with Xbox consoles and arrives next month.

Arc System Works has announced that it will host a cross-platform network open beta test for Guilty Gear Strive between February 3rd and 6th. The beta test will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, and will be available for anyone, even those who don’t own the game.

The beta test will include 22 characters, including additional DLC characters from season passes 1 and 2 such as Bridget and Sin Kiske. The network test will use a separate application from the main Guilty Gear Strive game, which will be available for download on each store platform. It will also include the following modes on launch: Tutorial, Mission, Survival, Training, VS COM, VS 2P, Online Match, Combo Maker, Digital Figure, and Gallery.

The test is scheduled to run from Feb. 3rd at 10:00 PDT, until Feb. 6th at 16:00 PDT. For new players, it might be best to learn the essentials first through the Training or Tutorial modes. There is also a mission mode where players can learn useful techniques for matches in a mission format and get in the right mindset for PvP matches. Players can make use of this opportunity as well to learn the moves of other players and try to replicate them in the Combo Maker mode, or just try making their own original combos at their leisure.

It should be noted console players won’t need PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscriptions to try the test, and save data from this network test cannot be transferred to the final version. Guilty Gear strive is also not yet available on Xbox Consoles, but it will be in Q2 2023.

If new players are worried about the limited network test duration, they can bid their time until then by watching the official character starter guides available on the official Arc System Works Youtube channel, and skip some of the required training time by learning how each of them works.

For those who want to learn more about the story, Arc System Works has gone the extra mile to upload the story mode from previous games for free on their Youtube channel, in addition to preparing story digest comics which are currently available for free on the official website. Guilty Gear Strive is now available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
