The Stranger is, as the name implies, the more bizarre out of the Princess routes in Slay the Princess. So we’re covering all of the Slay the Princess Stranger walkthrough.
Refusing to meet the Princess entirely leads you to The Stranger, who is nothing you make of her. How can you succeed when reality is unfurling in on itself?
Slay the Princess The Stranger full guide: Chapter one
There is one simple way to get The Stranger. Choose to walk away from the cabin at the start of the game. The Narrator will keep trying to make you go in, but stick to your guns. He’ll tell you the world ends and the loop will restart.

The cabin is now a horrible mix of all the others cabin. You’ve the option to take the knife as usual, but the Voice of the Contrarian will encourage you to change your grip on it and throw it out the window. Doing or not doing so won’t change anything.
The biggest decision in this path is which staircase you take when you descend the stairs. The Princess you meet at the bottom of the stairs changes with each. The soft path gets you the Damsel princess, the central path gets you a neutral princess, and the harsh path gets you the princess you usually see when you bring down the knife. You’re then allowed to explore dialogue options, through which the Princess will break off into more and more versions until you click the final option to do every outcome at once. The Princesses will then fuse into one and be taken by The Shifting Mound.
There are no other variants or routes with the Stranger, but there is more to The Stranger if you do the route first. The Princess who appears in the cabin at the end of the playthrough will be the Stranger, and you’ll get an achievement for it.
But besides that, that’s all there is to the Slay the Princess: Stranger walkthrough. You really don’t know her, do you?
