Sims 4 Bad Attitude Glitch Will Be Fixed In December Update

The Sims official Twitter account recently confirmed that the fix for the overly aggressive and rude Sims glitch in The Sims 4 has been pushed back to early December. “We sincerely apologize for the delay,” the Tweet reads, as it’s replying to a previous post that had stated that the fix would be part of November 17’s Sims Delivery Express patch.

The Sims 4, and the franchise in general, is no stranger to unusual bugs, but they’re often ones that don’t hamper the experience completely, instead giving it a touch of wacky humor. In this particular case, a recent update has made Sims randomly act argumentative and aggressive, with no tangible reason as to why.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

How Sims interact with their peers is mostly dependent on their traits, which you, the player, select for them. Therefore, many players were scratching their heads in confusion when Sims that they’d set up to be perfectly friendly and calm were being so unnecessarily conflictive. It’s clear the issue under the hood was more complex than Maxis, the development studio, thought it to be, but the hope is that they can now get it sorted out in early December as it has promised.

Maxis’ attention is undoubtedly quite split right now, as they’ve recently revealed that the next mainline entry of the franchise, The Sims 5, codenamed Project Rene, is currently in early development. Not much was revealed through official channels, though the reveal video did show off one new feature. Players will be able to customize furniture items individually by changing their color, pattern, shape, and more. Maxis VP Lyndsay Pearson stated, “We’re experimenting with what’s worked and where we can push further to offer more flexibility than ever before.”

Via less official channels, however, fans have learned a bit more. Apparently, screenshots from early playtests have leaked showing off a bit of the game’s interior design mechanics, as well as its urban setting. One image showed the interior of an empty apartment with certain customization prompts on-screen, while a message explained that players can search for furniture created by The Sims community. Another image revealed a city-like setting with tall apartment buildings, where likely numerous Sims will be able to reside.
