Fans of HoYoverse games like Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail will be eagerly awaiting their next project, Zenless Zone Zero. Their upcoming role-playing game already has a release date, although it hasn’t been officially announced by the company. It’s clear that it will reign supreme due to its character design and, especially, interface, but even more so because of its combat, which is extremely frenetic and fluid.
Zenless Zone Zero Release Date May Have Been Leaked
Although it’s been one of HoYoverse’s best-kept secrets, a small oversight flushed all the work down the drain: after two years of anticipation, it was revealed that Zenless Zone Zero will officially launch on July 3rd of this year, or at least that’s what Apple posted on its App Store.
Most likely due to an error, the official page of Zenless Zone Zero on the Apple App Store was updated on April 22nd with a release date for July 3rd of this year, and after hours of this mistake, it still hasn’t been corrected. This, obviously, is not a confirmation from HoYoverse, but the information seems quite solid, especially coming directly from Apple.
Evidently, this leak could indicate that Zenless Zone Zero will be released on iOS on that date, but it is believed that the title (as happened with previous HoYoverse works) will also come to Ps5, Android, and PC on the same date.
Zenless Zone Zero Expands The Technical Trial
Two weeks ago, registration opened for the technical trial on PS5, and now the Resonance Test has begun, which already includes all the platforms on which Zenless Zone Zero will be released: PS5, PC (on the Epic Games Store), iOS, and Android.
To encourage players to register, miHoYo has established its usual incentives: reaching certain milestones in the number of people who have signed up unlocks tapes that can be redeemed in-game after launch for various virtual items.
In Zenless Zone Zero, modern civilization has been devastated by supernatural disasters known as “Cavities.” These phenomena that appear out of nowhere are filled with terrible creatures: the “ethereal beings.” In the midst of chaos, New Eridu has relied on its technology and resources to confront the Cavities and gradually rise as the last bastion of modern civilization.
Players will assume the role of proxies, adventurers who venture into them for various reasons. Players will join forces with unique characters to explore the Cavities together, defeat formidable enemies, complete all kinds of tasks, and uncover the deepest secrets of New Eridu.
Zenless Zone Zero will be a free-to-play game with gacha-type microtransactions and a futuristic cyberpunk setting, anime aesthetics, and hack-and-slash combat where team members combine their attacks.
What Is Zenless Zone Zero?
Despite not having been able to enjoy the title yet, Zenless Zone Zero will be a new fantasy role-playing game entirely free (as the company has already accustomed us to) in which some roguelike elements will be added, along with dozens of characters similar to those the company has already accustomed us to.
For now, we’ll have to wait for the company’s confirmation, but if nothing changes regarding the leak, Zenless Zone Zero will be released on PC, Ps5, iOS, and Android on July 3rd of this year.
