Now we’ve all had time to settle into the new Fortnite season, the first update has come along to give us a little taste of what’s in store over the next couple of months. Our first unvaulted weapon has appeared and a crossover skin we haven’t seen in a long time has returned to the store for a limited time. On top of that, the October content for those with a Fortnite Crew subscription has been revealed.

Ranger shotgun – Fortnite
With all the new/returning shotguns this season, it’s clear that Fortnite wants you to get up close and personal with your opponents. This shotgun is a fast and powerful one, with high damage and a very tight spread. The tradeoff is that it can only hold one shot at a time, so must be reloaded every time you fire. However, you can reload it while still aiming, meaning you’ll have more time to line your shots up in a tough firefight.
Xenomorph outfit – Fortnite
Fans of Alien and Fortnite are in luck, as the crossover skins are returning to the in-game store for the first time since April 2021. This includes an outfit for both the Xenomorph and Ripley, along with a bunch of Alien accessories.

Fortnite Crew October rewards
Fortnite Crew is the subscription service that sees you get exclusive rewards each month, along with a monthly gift of 1,000 V-Bucks and automatic access to the current season’s Battle Pass. The main set of rewards includes an original outfit and loads of accessories themed around it. For this month – starting September 30 at 8pm EST – you’ll be getting the Red Claw pack with everything have a cool red and black style.
