PUBG Mobile is celebrating its fifth anniversary with the highly anticipated build mode and lots of festivities
PUBG Mobile has been at the top of the battle royale genre since its launch five years ago. It took the world by storm in 2017 and hasn’t stopped since. And to celebrate this momentous occasion, the developers are releasing an exciting new update.
PUBG Mobile’s version 2.5 will celebrate the game’s fifth anniversary with an awesome new build mode, new areas to explore, items, and loads of rewards. Payload and Metro Royale have been updated, with an updated season and royale pass bringing a tonne of cosmetics.
World of Wonder is the new free builder mode that allows players to explore their imagination to the fullest. The beta launches on March 16th, offering players a number of maps and game modes to explore. At launch, players can apply to become creators in order to gain access to all the editing features.
The entire Erangel map with all its iconic locations will be fully editable. Additionally, players will be able to create their own gameplay mechanics from a wide variety of genres like Arms Races, Deathmatches, Racing, and Battle Royales. To start off, two presets will be available – Erangel Mod and the Craft Mod.
The anniversary party continues with the Imagiversary multi-map makeover on March 18th. Two new Imagination Plazas have been set up in Erangel with a delicious large crate in the centre. If that’s too much of a challenge, ten smaller Imagination Districts have also been created in both Erangel and Livik.
To top it all off, players will find lots of party items as well. The colourful Block Cover is set to shield enemy fire, while the Supply Converter will transform supplies into items of the past or new ones. Keep a lookout for the Portable Trampoline and Dual-Purpose Cannon as well.
